  1. Hi Folashade,
I visited the website Alliance for Childhood. I viewed a few of the articles about the lack of play that young children are receiving in school and home. It disgusts me that our society is pushing our children so inappropriately. I am proud to say that my own children are often seen outside playing kickball, tag, riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, swinging on swings, etc. I hope sometime soon, the lighbulb will go off with the government. But in the meantime, I try to allow my children to be children, they grow up fast to begin with.

  2. I checked out the first website and checked out many of the articles. Developmentally Appropriate Practice in the Age of Testing stood out. My mom and I actually discussed how ridiclious this testing is getting last week. I have a younger sister in 3rd grade, and she hardly has time to focus on her childhood because of the standarized test that are required to take. In order for her to score well she has to constantly study, and i belkieve a 3rd grader should still be palying and not focusing so hard on school.
